Back from Armenia

im back from armenia!

so i went on a trip to my motherland for a month and ive been back since the 4th.

i learned soo much and definitely changed and grew from that experience. Life is different now in the sense that i appreciate what i have a Whole Lot more.

even though i have a lot of stresses here..credit cards to pay off :( and finding work im ready to go knowing that i live in the land of opportunities

i made some sketches in armenia of my fiances family and ill be posting those up as soon as i get em scanned

im also getting started on a large oil painting that was commissioned by a couple of friends who just got married

along with a logo design for a tutoring center kids

got lots to do :)

it took me soo long to get it together and up

but after all the stressing out and being lost its finally up! :)

i've also gotten through printing my business cards and calendars which was another challenge in itself. I have a feeling of relief right now; i feel like i can breath.

but i still have much work to do (like designing a board game and making two new pieces of art for my independent study) so i can't relax too soon.

ill post some pix of the calendar and cards soon

ive been sketching in my little black sketchbook for a while now and i thought i'd scansome of my work in and show you what it looks like...

im putting them up in chronological order from the earliest to the most recent so you can see my transitions..a lot of the sketches were done while i was sitting around waiting for something or someone

sooooo..here it goes!

i did this batch around campus (CSULB)

this whole sketchbook actually started out as a class

assignment but became an all the time kind of thing

the love of my life, my fiance art, posing for me :) i love him so so very much!

this batch is from art's nutcracker shows in Dec. 2011

this is a slipper laying around backstage in the orange county nutcracker

we got there early so art took a quick nap in the dressing

room at thousand oaks..we were suppper tired that entire month

with all the rehearsals, shows, waking up early, going to bed late

and the endless driving! I took advantage of his lack of movement and

got a quicky sketch out! :)

so i just got back from the asian market with my parents

i grabbed a few things that i though i'd show you guys

these i actually tried for the first time like a week ago at school and i really liked it..so i thought i'd get a box

these panda cookies are the best! my mom used to buy them when we were kids and i've loved them ever since..the strawberry ones are my favorite

the lily bulbs i've tried once and they're pretty good..i though i'd get more to have my fiance (art) try some and our friend vartan too..

i've never had the bamboo though so i will have to try that and see

i love trying new stuff!

ive discovered so many great things that way..like Indian Food! the best food ever

life is too boring when everything is the same all the time..don't you think?

try new things and explore other cultures and maybe you'll discover a new favorite something that you wouldn't have known about if you took the safe route
